Peanut Butter and Chocolate Blast!

25 Oct

I think I have to make this, this weekend.  It has everything I love in it AND, I love salty and sweet things mixed together.

These would also make great little goodie bags to pass out!   You can change the colors of the M & M’s to match the holiday.

I got this off of the Taste of Home Website.  I could spend hours there!

Chex Peanut Butter and Chocolate Blast

  • 6 cups Rice Chex Cereal (I’m actually using Life cereal because I got several boxes of it on sale!)
  • 1 Cup white vanilla baking chips (8 oz.)
  • 1 Cup peanut butter chips
  • 1 Cup M & M’s
  • 1 Cup dry-roasted peanuts
  1. Line 2 cookie sheets with foil or waxed paper.  Place 3 cups of cereal in a large bowl.  In a small, microwavable bowl, microwave white vanilla baking chips uncovered on High for about 1 minute or until chips can be stirred smooth.  Pour melted chips over cereal in bowl; stir to evenly coat.  Spread mixture in single layer on one of the cookie sheets.  Refrigerate 5 minutes or until set.
  2. Repeat the above using the remaining cereal and the peanut butter chips; refrigerate 5 minutes or until set.
  3. Gently break up coated cereal into large bowl.  Add M & M’s and peanuts; stir gently to combine.  Store in airtight container.

Makes 11 cups
